Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

Duties: Under the general direction of the Registrar, the Associate Registrar, Systems, Records, and Business Analysis, is a key member of the Registrar’s leadership team and is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Systems, Records, and Business Analysis portfolio. The incumbent will also be responsible for all aspects of registrarial services supporting the academic departments in the College, establishing policies, practices and procedures, maintaining a detailed understanding of registrarial business processes, corresponding data processing and reporting requirements.

Given the organizational priority placed on strategic enrolment management, the Associate Registrar, Systems, Records, and Business Analysis, is responsible for ensuring the quality of administrative service provided by the Office of the Registrar and provides maximum efficiency of resource allocation and both administrative and student satisfaction. The incumbent serves as an expert resource on systems and business process development for the Office of the Registrar and the College. They are responsible for maintaining the College’s student information system, and enhancing processes and systems to provide excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent provides oversight of the adjudication of academic and fee appeals. The incumbent manages day-to-day operations and strategic planning initiatives for their portfolio and works closely with other members of the Registrar’s leadership team to ensure appropriate service delivery, with integrity, for the Office of the Registrar.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 4-year degree in relevant field including: Business Administration, Public Administration, Systems and/or Business Analysis, Education/Higher Education
  • Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience with integrated systems (admission, registration, financial); must be conversant with government and College policies and programs, as well as privacy legislation (FIPPA)
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Education/training in job specific areas such as computer and system fluency, statistical analysis, business analysis, leadership
  • Foundational knowledge of the principals of strategic enrolment management, retention, and student success are essential
  • Experience managing in a unionized environment would be an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, conflict management, change management, system implementation, knowledge in computer systems, student information systems and relational systems and databased, project management
  • Effective analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Must be versed with government and College policies and programs
