HOUSING MAINTENANCE TRAINING POSITION (DEC 2025 END DATE)

POSITION TITLE: CMHC HOUSING MAINTENANCE TRAINEE
REPORTING PROTOCOL: REPORTS TO THE HOUSING MANAGER OR DESIGNATE
POSITION SUMMARY:
The CMHC Housing Maintenance Trainee will report directly to the Housing Manger and will be responsible for providing day to day general and property maintenance to the Kettle & Stony Point First Nation Housing Units and Apartment Complex. NOTE: This CMHC funded training position is only applicable to youth under the age of 30.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
▪ Flexible to do shift work and with minimal supervision.
▪ Ability to operate various machinery; snow-blower, lawn motor, etc.
▪ Able to operate various hand tools and power tools.
▪ Knowledgeable and experienced in building repairs.
▪ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a day.
▪ Landscaping and carpentry skills
▪ Excellent organizational and time management skills
▪ Maintain a positive, efficient and effective presence within and for the community.

EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Combination of education and/or experience in a similar or related position
▪ Building and property maintenance experience
