Communications Coordinator
Job Posting
We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Public Engagement department. This position supports public engagement campaigns and activities to build new followers/supporters and engage existing followers/supporters. This bilingual English and French-language position primarily supports the Foundation’s Signal for Help campaign, but also supports other public engagement campaigns and
activities as needed. This position reports to the Manager of Corporate and Community Activation. This is a full-time, one year contract position that runs
from March 2024 to the end of March 2025.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Activity Implementation
• Support day to day Signal for Help public education campaign activities including:
o Maintenance of project workplans, schedules, and budgets
o Invoice tracking and processing
o Coordination support for Signal for Help knowledge sharing events and promotions
o Coordination support for corporate and community digital training presentations, custom campaigns, and promotions
o Coordination and production of campaign communication tools and resources
o General campaign email correspondence e.g. requests for information, campaign comments
• Assist with results tracking across activities
• Identify and participate in job-relevant skills-building and training
• Other duties as required
Evaluation
Assist with regular metrics tracking and reporting
Team Collaboration
• Participate in team meetings as well as all-staff collaboration, training, and events
• Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
• 2-5 years of experience in nonprofit communications or social cause marketing
• Experience in gender equality-related work desirable
• Post-secondary communications/marketing education desirable
Skills and Abilities
• Strong communication and marketing skills: email marketing, copywriting, social media marketing
• Strong bilingual (written, oral) skills, French and English
• Applications: Canva, Zoom meeting, webinar tools, WordPress
o Audio/video editing skills an asset, Luminate an asset
Expectations and Conditions
The chosen candidate will be able to start work as soon as possible and would complete a three-month probation period.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000. Comprehensive health and dental benefits are included after three months, as well as professional development opportunities. We offer 18 health days and 4 weeks vacation per year. This is a full-time, one-year contract position that runs from March 2024 to the end of March 2025.
Job Location
Depending on the location of the successful candidate, this position could be remote, hybrid or in office. Our head office is in Toronto, ON but we are seeking candidates from anywhere in Canada. Some travel within Canada may be required.
