Job Description

Position: Community Garden/Land Stewardship Coordinator

Term: 5-months contract (Immediate – March 2024), possibility of extension based on funding

Division: Political Office/Environment

Salary: $19.00–$22.00 per hour – Based on experience

Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m., flexible to work some evenings and weekends

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Environmental Consultation Coordinator, the Community Garden/Land Stewardship Coordinator will implement the strategic vision, goals, and objectives of the Community Garden/Land Stewardship Program. They will develop and implement work plans and schedules and work collaboratively with the Oneida Environment Committee to ensure that all monitoring, and stewardship activities are actioned, recorded, and documented in accordance with internal processes. The Community Garden/Land Stewardship Coordinator will review and implement objectives out of the Oneida Land Code, liaise with other First Nations, other governments, and organizations, and coordinate joint activities where appropriate. The Community Garden/Land Stewardship Coordinator will also provide regular updates to Oneida members by coordinating and hosting community engagement activities.
