Job Description

Position: Debris Truck Driver

Term: Permanent Part-Time

Division: Public Works/Roads

Salary: $20.00/hour

Hours: 16 hours/week, between Monday – Friday, flexible schedule, work schedule to be determined by immediate supervisor

Posting Date: September 21, 2023 Closing Date: October 5, 2023 at 4:30p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Roads Supervisor, the Debris Truck Driver is responsible for operating the debris truck in a safe and appropriate manner. Responsible to clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent;
  2. Must possess and maintain a valid Class “D” with “Z” endorsement driver’s license;
  3. Previous experience with road maintenance/equipment operation, preferred.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT:

  1. The successful candidate must submit a recent (completed within 6-months) CPIC, at own expense;
  2. The successful candidate must submit a copy of valid Class “DZ” driver’s license and recent (completed within 6-months) driver abstract, at own expense;
  3. The successful candidate must submit a copy of applicable educational qualifications (certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.).
