Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

The Enterprise Resource Planning Project (ERP) is a digital information management solution that will enable the College to plan and support its strategic future directions. The ERP will include Human Resources, Finance and Student operations and will have direct impact to all facets of the organization.

Duties: The Digital Human Resources Project Lead contributes to a multi-year project to implement new HR processes enabled by Workday technology as part of the larger, strategic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project in which digital solutions for HR, Finance and Student systems will enable the College’s future directions. The project, called Fanshawe One, contributes to the College’s digital and data strategies.

The Project Lead is part of the ERP Implementation Team consisting of people from the College and the technology vendor including Functional Analysts and Functional Leads, IT Leads and Analysts, ERP Project Managers (HR/SS) and the Vendor System Implementer within the Governance structure of the ERP.

Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer with accountability to the ERP Project Director, the Digital Human Resources Project Lead will lead the development of a future focused HR digital experience that will meet the vision and business requirements of College stakeholders, Human Resources and provide a transformed employee-centered experience for employees.

The Digital Human Resources Project Lead has deep experience in Human Resources and HRMS system implementation and leads activities including consultations with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical experts to make decisions about process design, system configuration, access control and security, workflows, data conversion, data migration, data management and analytics, reporting and system integrations. The incumbent facilitates the delivery of the FanshaweOne project on time, on budget, and on scope in accordance with the Statement of Work, project management best practice, project policy and governance. The incumbent leads, initiates, reviews and approves policy and risk protocols for the overall Human Resources operations enabled by the new technology and in activities related to user adoption. The incumbent communicates with all levels of the organization and interacts with multiple stakeholders to achieve agreement on scope and schedule of the project.

The Project Lead oversees the work of the Functional Leads and Functional Analysts performing data migration, data conversion, process design, system configuration, report design, documentation, user acceptance testing, and go-live and post go-live troubleshooting support and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 4-year degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Information Systems, Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ demonstrated practical experience with excellent understanding of human resource business processes and procedures
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of an HRMS preferred
  • Progressive experience working in a robust HRMS system
  • Sound understanding of organizational development and change theory
  • Knowledge and experience in theories and practices related to organizational development, including change management, group dynamics, team development, leadership development and employee motivation
  • Sound project management including risk mitigation and cost overrun, business process improvement, conflict resolution, decision making, risk mitigation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse client group and building partnerships at all levels of the organization
  • Facilitation/presentation and marketing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Computer literacy
  • Possess strong analytical skills in order to be able to review relevant data inputs from multiple sources and use them to reach informed business processes procedures and conclusions to management
  • Strong problem-solving skills in order to effectively address business process inefficiency and redundancy with the ability to exercise sound judgement
  • Attention to detail is important because their work can involve studying a lot of procedures and data in order to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities and strict time constraints
  • Possess ability to influence others and lead team
