Job Description

The EarlyON Drop-In Assistant will collaborate with playroom staff to design and deliver daily, age-appropriate, inquiry- and play-based activities for families with children from prenatal to 6 years old. Programs will reflect Oneida cultural values and align with early years pedagogy as outlined in ‘How Does Learning Happen?’.

The EarlyON Drop-In Assistant will support parents and caregivers by modeling positive interactions and encouraging meaningful engagement.

As part of a collaborative team, this role supports families by providing information, resources, and referrals to services that promote overall family well-being.

Experience and Qualifications

EDUCATION:

1. Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Early Childhood Education Diploma is considered an asset.
3. Valid First Aid/CPR certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Previous experience in childcare centre is considered an asset.
2. Previous experience working with First Nations children and/or families is considered an asset.
