Position: Family Support Worker Term: Permanent Full-Time, dependent on fundingDivision: Community and Social Services/Jordan’s Principle Salary: Competitive salary rangeHours: 35 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m., must be flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays Posting Date: May 24, 2024 Closing Date: June 6, 2024 at 4:30p.m. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Jordan’s Principle Lead Navigator, the Family Support Worker will provide assistance and support to Jordan’s Principle clients by performing a wide range of duties from identifying children with unmet needs in the health/social systems and assisting families to navigate and secure access to services and supports, providing support during clients outings, transportation assistance, and completing administrative tasks.The Family Support Worker adheres to all organizational policies and procedures and all legislation relevant as an employee of Oneida Nation of the Thames and to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.Post-secondary diploma in Social Service Worker or related field, an asset.Previous work experience with First Nations families, an asset.Valid Class “G” driver’s license and use of organization vehicle is required.
