Canada Summer Jobs- $16.55/HR 35 HR/week for 8 weeks

Job Summary:

The Information and Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the communication strategy of the organization. This position involves managing various communication channels, developing content, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess current branding and funder guidelines.
  • Write and edit content for promotional materials.
  • Manage media inquiries in conjunction with the Programs Director.
  • Develop strategies to enhance organizational brand visibility.
  • Create and maintain a database of media organizations and newsletters for networking and content sharing.
  • Develop and implement content strategies for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with staff to gather content for promotional materials and social media posts.
  • Regularly update website content and maintain posting schedules.
  • Ensure all external content is accurate, error-free, and adheres to proper grammar and spelling.
  • Monitor brand reputation and engage new audiences strategically.
  • Review and refine the organization’s communication strategy.
  • Assist with media events and the updating of marketing videos, including YouTube content.

Supervision and Mentoring:

This position will be directly supervised by the Programs Director, receiving both guidance and mentorship throughout the placement.
