Hours: 35 hours per week, 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m., Monday – Friday, flexible to work some evenings and weekends

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Band Representative Manager or designate, the Intake Screener/Office Assistant will provide essential administrative support and financial record-keeping duties by supporting with daily tasks, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, managing phone calls and emails.
The Intake Screener/Office Assistant will ensure all new referrals received from Child Welfare/Child Well-being agencies are distributed to the appropriate employees.
This position will ensure smooth functions of the day-to-day office operations for the Band Representative Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Office Administration or related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience as an administrative assistant/clerical role.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated involvement working with Indigenous children, youth, and families.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, good judgment, and ability to main appropriate confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT:
- The successful candidate must submit a recent (completed within a 6-month timeframe) Vulnerable Sector CPIC, at their own expense.
- The successful candidate must submit a copy of a valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and recent (completed within a 6-month timeframe) driver’s abstract, at their own expense.
- The successful candidate must submit a copy of applicable educational qualifications (certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.).
