Job Description

Position: Janitor/Maintenance Worker

Term: 6-month contract (Immediate – March 2024)

Division: Social Services/Oneida Family Healing Lodge

Salary: Competitive salary range

Hours: 35 hours/week, normally 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m., Monday – Friday, flexible to adjust work hours based on OFHL requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the OFHL Team Lead or designate, the Janitor/Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing janitorial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that the Oneida Family Healing Lodge building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent;
  2. Previous employment experience in a similar capacity;
  3. Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment;
  4. Ability to perform the full range of janitorial duties as required including lifting (up to 40 lbs.), sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and operating equipment.

  1. The successful candidate must submit a recent (completed within 6-months) Vulnerable Sector CPIC, at own expense;
