The Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability has a mandate to enable LHSC to meet its fundamental commitments by optimizing individual and organizational capacity for equity, inclusion, and social accountability. Reporting to the Director, Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability, the Manager, Equity & Inclusion, Strategic Priorities is accountable for ensuring excellence in the execution of the equity and inclusion strategy at LHSC. The Manager will bring demonstrated experience in equity, inclusion and anti-oppression program creation, implementation and evaluation, drawing on their exceptional communications, change and project management, and engagement skills.The role provides subject matter expertise on a range of equity, inclusion, and human rights-related matters. The Manager is responsible for developing processes and initiatives to remove barriers and improve equity and inclusion for Team LHSC members, patients, and equity-denied communities. This includes, but is not limited to the oversight of the LHSC Multi-year Accessibility plan, Harm Reduction Strategy, Employment Systems Review, and inclusive engagement planning. The Manager has additional accountability for the oversight of access to Interpretation and Translation Services at LHSC and the French Language Service planning.Reporting to the Director, Office of Inclusion and Social Accountability, the Manager, Equity and Inclusion, Strategic Priorities directs, controls, and evaluates the delivery of department services. They are responsible for translating decisions of the program leadership into execution, by utilizing relationship management and working with internal and external partners to achieve the necessary outcomes. The Manager ensures their team and department operations are aligned with our mission, vision, and values, while working together to successfully achieve our strategic objectives.This role is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks within the team/unit and with other teams across the organization.LHSC is committed to the principles of hybrid work and may offer this option to employees whose work can be performed in an alternate location, without adverse impact to the operations of the Hospital, inclusive of our Staff and Patient experience.
