Compensation: $28.80/hour plus paid vacation time off, and comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP matching after probation
Location: London, ON
Schedule: 40 hrs/week; onsite Monday to Friday during regular operating hours

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight to the daily operations of the finance team and the employees of a non-profit organization delivering services and supports for children, youth, and adults with complex needs, and their families/caregivers ensuring that effective processes are utilized across the organization to support appropriate and accepted accounting methods
- Audit, monitor and analyse information and provide reports on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of accounting practices, financial statements, and the accounting system in general
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and adjusting entries to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance; consult with relevant team members about problems or discrepancies
- Prepare monthly funding reconciliations and special reports for individual funders, including statements of revenue and expenditures for various ministries
- Prepare and remit HST, including applicable charity rebates
- Assist in preparing annual budgets in consultation with directors and appropriate internal partners
- Provide financial information to non-financial managers in a clear and concise manner to ensure that program spending is in budget
- Assist with annual external audit process and preparation of supporting documents
- Work successfully with diverse groups and demonstrate commitment to principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice
Qualifications:
- Completion of related post-secondary education; CPA designation in good standing is preferred
- Previous experience in business accounting, audit practices, and cost allocation 3+ years, Sage 300
- Experience with part 3 of the CPA Canada Handbook: “Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations”
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications; specifically Excel, Outlook
- Reliable with a demonstrated commitment to being a dependable member of a team
- Understanding of skills and knowledge requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
- Outstanding in both verbal and written communication and people skills
- Strong and practiced organization, multi-tasking and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams, and independently as necessary
- Comfort and aptitude to learn new software applications and platforms
- Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
- Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
- Satisfactory Police Check completed within the last six (6) months (mandatory)
- Physical Health assessment: verification of up-to-date immunizations, COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (mandatory)
