The Middlesex-London Health Unit has an exciting opportunity for 1 part-time Program Assistant to work on the Healthy Babies Healthy Children in the Family and Community Health division at the Citi Plaza location, London Ontario.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Manager, Healthy Babies Healthy Children Team, the successful candidate will: Input key statistical information on specific Ministry software programs and other data entry Provide administrative support for the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Team Prepare for meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes Schedule and book meetings Format and prepare key documents, reports, and letters, and handle mail Process referrals, maintain databases and checklists and run routine reports Order necessary supplies, maintain inventories, resources, mailing lists and key contacts Maintain accurate budget documents and process invoices Be responsible for filing, record keeping, and document management Perform other duties as assigned
Post-secondary program in administrative studies of at least one year Candidates who have an equivalent level of expertise acquired through related employment experience and on-the-job training or alternative education may be considered in order to support Employment Equity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide excellent service and work effectively with team members Skills and knowledge to work with an increasingly diverse population, and knowledge of health inequities. Skills and experience in supporting teams and managers, including taking initiative Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while keeping programming on track Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate meeting minutes Excellent knowledge of scheduling and communication software Experience and expertise with Ministry databases (i.e., ISCIS) and Electronic Client Records (ECR) Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Share Point) Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a positive workplace environment Ability to work flexible hours Communication proficiency (written and verbal) in French and/or any other language is considered an asset The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.39 to $30.49 based on qualifications and experience.
