We’re on a mission to find an epic full-time Personal Banking Manager to support existing and prospective Libro Owners. As a credit union, our customers and employees are our Owners.
This role supports all regions within Libro, and is a mobile position offering remote work and flexibility in schedule.
What does our Personal Banking Manager do?
The Personal Banking Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of Libro’s personal lending strategy across all regions we serve. Through a strong blend of demonstrated leadership skills, ability to collaborate, a strong proactive relationship focus and continuous improvement approach, as well as financial expertise, this role ensures the best-in-class experience for our personal banking Owners. This role drives continuous improvement of our product and Owner service offerings.
The Personal Banking Manager collaborates with both internal and third-party partners to create success. Through this role coaching and leading a team of direct reports, our employees in branch based personal banking and lending roles will receive consistent, ongoing support. The Personal Banking Manager drives the development of skills training programs for these branch-based staff, inclusive of Home Financing Advisors, supporting the achievement of role specific service standards.
The Epic Human we are looking for will:
- Provide indirect leadership and mentorship to branch-based Owner-facing staff.
- Foster a culture of exceptional Owner-centric service, teamwork, and product knowledge.
- Oversee a team of leaders responsible for providing tools, programs, and service standards for the roles of Owner Experience Representatives, Personal Banking Specialists and Home Financing Advisors.
- Lead the Financial Service Assistant Supervisor and their team of Financial Service Assistants who specialize in direct administrative support to personal banking staff.
- Provides leadership, training, and advice for segment leaders and advisors.
- Highly effective change leader with ability to create and communicate a compelling vision for the personal banking segment teams.
- Work in partnership with the Vice-President of Community Banking to develop and refine a vision for personal banking Owner experience.
- Provide expert advice and guidance relating to how the segment teams best use and leverage Owner Relationship Management Tools.
- Build, communicate, and support role specific Owner service standards.
- Analyze and leverage sources of competitive intelligence on issues of product and service innovation, market trends, competitive insights, and pricing.
- Take a research based and data informed approach, leveraging research and data to provide recommendations for enhancements to delivery strategy, service standards, advice solutions, and product and service enhancements all in support of an exceptional Owner experience and competitive advantage for Libro Credit Union.
- Collaborate with third-party partners, including CUMIS (creditor protection) and Collabria (VISA supplier), to expand product penetration and offerings.
- In partnership with Advice and Service department leadership and the Learning and Development department, support and advise on the implementation and sustainment of the Credit Union’s advice-based sales and relationship building program, ‘Moments Matter’
- Provide support and leadership for the Home Financing Advisor team in the development of actionable sales plans, Owner service standards, and development of home financing programs, promotion, and partnerships.
- Ensure tools, support, and expectations are clear to support branch staff who in turn provide effective financial advice, coaching, and product/service recommendations.
- Drive referrals to wealth and business banking segments.
- Assist in the development and creation of retail campaigns and initiatives to support branch objectives.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in personal banking, financial advice, or related role. Minimum 5 years experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in retail delivery of a financial institution
- In-depth knowledge of retail financial products and services.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and enhancing member relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
