Reporting to the Director, Centre for Academic Excellence, the incumbent will coordinate, guide, and work with academic managers, curriculum developers, program coordinators, faculty, and other College staff to support academic excellence across the College. This position will be involved in a variety of activities including new program development, program mapping, program reviews, curriculum modifications, faculty mentoring and coaching, course development and delivery, and special projects that support quality assurance and academic excellence.

  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies
  • Teaching experience

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Education or Curriculum Studies preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ recent, relevant experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Proven expertise in curriculum and/or program design and development preferred
  • Working knowledge of MCU and OCQAS preferred
  • Knowledge of Indigenous approaches to education, anti-oppressive and culturally responsive pedagogies, decolonization theories and practices, and/or knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles and how to apply an EDI and anti-oppression lens to curriculum preferred

Approximate Start Date: January 4, 2024

Salary: Determination of starting salaries is based on relevant teaching/occupational experience and relevant formal qualifications, supported with original transcripts from granting institutions. The salary scale is $73,079 to $126,689 along with a comprehensive benefit package.

Partial load or full-time academic staff presently employed with the College will be given first consideration in accordance with the Academic Collective Agreement.

While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.
