Confirmation of hybrid work options available to you will be clarified upon hire and may be subject to change based on the duties required of your position. Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.Note: This position requires daily on-site presence and is not subject to hybrid work. This position would be required to teach in-person up to 5 days per week on campus.A full-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students including classroom, clinical and simulation lab environments. The successful candidate will teach courses in the PSW programs at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus.Approximate Start Date:  August 12, 2024Salary: Determination of starting salaries is based on relevant teaching/occupational experience and relevant formal qualifications, supported with original transcripts from granting institutions. The salary scale is $73,079 to $126,689 along with a comprehensive benefit package.Partial load or full-time academic staff presently employed with the College will be given first consideration in accordance with the Academic Collective Agreement.While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONSCombination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student successExcellent communicatorStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners from different backgroundsStrong computer skills and familiarity with various technologiesRelated industry work experiencePrevious post-secondary teaching experience (hybrid and/or online delivery) and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assetsSPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree is required; preferably a MScN or equivalent Graduate DegreeCurrent registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, entitled to practice with no restrictions, is requiredCurrent clinical experience is preferredAn equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirementsMust have an understanding of the Ministry Standards for PSW’s, and the regulatory Entry to Practice Competencies for RPNInterest in provincial and national initiatives related to Nursing Education and PracticeExperience in curriculum development preferredDemonstrated skill in simulated learning environmentsEvidence of ongoing involvement and continuing education in simulationDemonstrated evidence of involvement in research and scholarly activitiesThis position may be subject to Clinical Placement Requirements which may include vaccinations and police vulnerable sector checks (PVSC)
