Position: Program Support Worker

Term: 8 weeks (July 8, 2024 to August 30, 2024)

Department: Oneida Language and Cultural CentreDivision: Life Long Learning

Salary: $17.30 per hourHours: 32.5 hours per week, 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday to Friday, 30 minutes unpaid lunch

JOB SUMMARY:  

Reporting to the Oneida Language and Cultural Centre Director, the Program Support Worker will provide support to the existing sectors including Archive and Research Space, Learner’s Study Space, Resource Inventory, Centre Garden, as well as provide basic receptionist duties. This position will also be expected to participate in staff capacity building i.e., Oneida language training and knowledge holder training sessions.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must be a Secondary or Post-Secondary student that is returning to school full time in September 2024.
  • Must be an Oneida Nation of the Thames band member between the ages of 15 – 29.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
