Position: Receptionist

Term: One year contract

Division: Political Office

Salary: Competitive salary range

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30a.m.–4:30p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors at the Political Office. The Receptionist is responsible for providing basic reception duties that includes greeting and assisting visitors, managing phone lines, receiving and distributing all incoming/outgoing correspondence to the Political Office, and maintaining a schedule for the Political Office Boardroom.

As a key position that provides administrative support to the Political Office the successful candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and possess strong interpersonal skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
  2. College Diploma in Office Administration, or related field, preferred.
