Research Assistant Position Available at Relentless Indigenous Woman Co. (RIW Co.)

Position: Research Assistant
Location: Remote
Hours: Up to 5 hours per week
Compensation: $38/hr

We specialize in both qualitative and quantitative research, focusing on generating insights and data that drive change and support the principles of First Nations Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession (OCAP) and relational accountability.
• Gather and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data relevant to projects focused on Indigenous communities.
• Summarize findings in comprehensive reports for client presentation.
• Ensure all research practices respect First Nations OCAP principles and relational accountability.
• Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to contribute to impactful research projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Experience with statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, Survey Monkey, Google Forms).
• Demonstrated understanding and application of First Nations OCAP principles and relational accountability in research.
• Previous experience working on research projects related to First Nations or Indigenous communities is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to inclusivity and fair representation of BIPOC voices in research work.
• Relevant educational background, preferably with additional certifications or training in research methodologies.
• Experience in managing and analyzing data in alignment with OCAP principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
