Position: Summer Camp Coordinator
Term: 16 weeks (May 6–August 30)
Division: Oneida Community Centre/Recreation
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the Summer Camp Coordinator will oversee a team of camp counsellors that will provide children ages 6–12 with the opportunity to engage in physical activities, arts and crafts, improve motor skills and promote creativity.
The Summer Camp Coordinator will help develop and implement activities and provide resources to the counsellors throughout the duration of the camp.
The Summer Camp Coordinator will receive guidance, leadership, planning, budgeting, and organizational skills throughout the work experience. Team building, interpersonal relationships, communication, research, and data collection will also be apart of the learning experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-Secondary education in Child Development, Social Services or Recreation, an asset.
- Previous work experience with children ages 6–12, an asset.
- Knowledge of budgeting and the excel software, an asset.
- Knowledge of Oneida language and culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class “G” driver’s license and use of organization vehicle is required.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT:
- The successful candidate must submit a recent (completed within a 6-month timeframe) Vulnerable Sector CPIC, at their own expense.
- The successful candidate must submit a copy of a valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and recent (completed within a 6-month timeframe) driver’s abstract, at their own expense.
- The successful candidate must submit a copy of applicable educational qualifications (certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.).
