Your opportunity
• As a Thunderbird Partnership Foundation Training Curriculum Developer, you will develop, design, and update instructional material, coordinate the implementation of courses, and complete course assessments utilizing standards to assess the effectiveness of the courses within a fast paced First Nations organization.

As the Thunderbird Partnership Foundation Training Curriculum Developer, you will
• work in collaboration with the Training and Education Team to develop courses using best practices in a range of instructional modes ensuring quality assurance and maintaining the integrity and quality of the program;
• use a foundation of Indigenous Knowledge and various training methods to ensure maximum impact and benefit for participants; and
• ensure the usage of virtual on-line platforms and onsite learning to guide the process of knowledge transfer of best practices, expertise, tools, and resources.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field AND Certification as Curriculum Developer eligibility AND 5 years’ experience in curriculum design, assessment, and development
OR
Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field AND Certification Developer eligibility AND 2 years’ experience in curriculum design, assessment, and development.
Knowledge and experience in one or more
• Digital learning and authoring tools e.g., Articulate Suite (Studio and Storyline), Camtasia, Captivate,
• Learning Management Systems (UltiPro would be ideal)
AND
• Fluency in a First Nations language is a definite asset
• Sound understanding of principles and trends regarding the development of curriculum
• Sound understanding of curriculum development and instructional design within an outcomes-based framework
• Skills in researching and evaluating standards in online learning, web-based platforms, and curriculum development
• Effective research and design skills with attention to accuracy and detail
• Knowledge of protocols and ethical practices relating to working with First Nations
• Cultural competence and ability to interact effectively within Frist Nation communities/societies
• Cultural and linguistic competency appropriate to service area
• Knowledge of protocols and ethical practices relating to working with First Nations
• Knowledge of First Nations traditions and customs including natural healing is a definite asset
• Knowledge of various methods of teaching and instruction
• Experience in developing a blended learning curriculum
• Excellent writing and public speaking skills, outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Above average knowledge in technical writing and knowledge of various needs assessment and research methods
• Able to solve problems independently, manage projects and utilize creative problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building and conflict resolution skills
• Works well within a team and a highly collaborative environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage competing work demands
• High level of professionalism and able to always maintain confidentiality
• Strong knowledge of learning management systems and web/digital delivery tools
• MS Office proficiency
• Ability to access work sites not accessible by public transportation
