As we continue to grow progressively, Libro is on a mission to find a passionately accountable full-time Treasury Manager supporting our London Administration location.

 

The Treasury Manager is responsible for the daily treasury functions of the organization. This position is accountable for the management and coordination of treasury-related activities, including management of overall margin, liquidity, foreign exchange exposure and interest rate risk.

Responsibilities include leading the development, implementation and monitoring of reporting procedures and practices for Libro’s liquidity and funding, cash and investment portfolio management, asset-liability management, interest rate management, and profitability modeling and analysis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the credit union while adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.

 

 

The Epic Human we are looking for will;

  • Lead the monthly modeling and analytical process to quantify risk on the balance sheet using internal and third-party vendor models.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to senior managers on the implications of proposed business decisions related to quantitatively evaluating proposed pricing changes, product development and campaign pricing or hedging transactions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory liquidity guidelines and use this to develop models, assumptions, and provide insights to support senior management decisions and strategic direction.
  • Manage credit union liquidity reserve portfolio to maximize returns subject to policy constraints and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze cash flow forecasts, interest rate risk, and investment portfolios to optimize returns while managing risks effectively.
  • Manage foreign exchange position and monitor the pricing and credit risks of wholesale transaction settlements.
  • Manage liquidity stress testing and maintain operational readiness to implement contingent funding plans.
  • Oversee the operational aspects and performance of the securitization, loan sale, syndication and deposit broker programs.
  • Provide support to Finance staff, including setting goals, evaluating staff performance, providing mentoring, coaching and feedback, and promoting team effectiveness and a Be Libro culture.

  • Do you have a university degree in Business, Finance or Economics?
  • Do you have a minimum 5-7 years of experience in the treasury function of a financial institution; supervisory experience considered an asset.
  • Do you have strong knowledge of the financial services industry, capital markets and personal and business banking products?
  • Do you have knowledge of liquidity management, FSRA liquidity rules, CMHC Mortgage-backed securities, Canada Mortgage Bond program and deposit broker channel?
  • Do you have strong analytical, written and oral communication skills with a CFA, FRM, or CPA designation?
