Our department is responsible for administering education programs and services for Aamjiwnaang Kindergarten – Grade 12, Adult Learning, and Post-Secondary Education. We manage the education funding provided by the federal government through the Anishinabek Education System Financial Agreement (AESFA) and the Kinoomaadziwin Education Body. We work with the Education Committee to oversee the department policies and implementation of the programs and services. Aamjiwnaang Education works closely with the Kinoomaadziwin Education Body (KEB) to identify and manage educational priorities of the Regional Education Council #4. Our Mission To provide educational programs and services that foster lifelong learning that is informed by culturally relevant Anishinaabe knowledge to ensure present and future student success.
