Work Categorization: This position is performed on campus at the Oxford Street campus (1001 Fanshawe College Boulevard) and would not be subject to hybrid work.

Duties: 
Under the supervision of the Dean of Students, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for the administration of daily activities of the office and providing administrative/secretarial support to the Dean of Students. The incumbent is also responsible for planning and coordinating special events as well as providing data queries and statistical reports for the Student Success area.

Experience and Qualifications

Note: This is a full-time Support position (35 hours per week).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Business Administration and/or Administrative Secretary program or an equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office environment showing progressive responsibilities, preferably in an academic setting
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience with business operations and processes, including managing and updating online technologies, with well developed skills in internal and external communication.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
