EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE – FULL TIME

PROGRAM AREA: HEALTH SERVICES
POSITION TITLE: COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE – RN/RPN (HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION – MATERNAL CHILD HEALTH)
REPORTING PROTOCOL: REPORTS TO THE COMMUNITY HEALTH MANAGER/DESIGNATE

POSITION SUMMARY:

In collaboration with management, nurses and program support workers, develop and implement plan(s) for improving the health status of the community through education programs and the delivery of health promotion and prevention services with emphasis on promotion, implementation and delivery of maternal child and health programs including the delivery of the immunization program.

Experience and Qualifications

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Bachelor of Nursing Degree recommended
▪ Minimum 2-year diploma in Nursing with relevant experience may be considered based upon the merit of the candidate
▪ Current unrestricted registration with CNO
▪ RNAO or RPNAO membership
▪ BCLS Certification required
