Position: Custodian

Term: Permanent Part-Time, 11-month position (August – June annually)

Division: Life Long Learning/Standing Stone School

Salary: Competitive salary range

Hours: 30 hours per week, normally 3:00p.m. – 9:00p.m., Monday – Friday, flexible to adjust work hours

JOB SUMMARY:

Oneida Nation of the Thames is a First Nations Settlement located near the City of London, Ontario. Standing Stone School offers FDK through Grade 6 programming for approximately 190 students.

Reporting to the Principal of Standing Stone School, the Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure Standing Stone School building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous employment experience in a custodial capacity.
  3. Must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the position which may include lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stairs/ladder climbing, and operating motorized equipment.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT:

  1. The successful candidate must submit a recent (completed within a 6-months timeframe) vulnerable sector CPIC, at own expense.
  2. The successful candidate must submit a copy of applicable educational qualifications (certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.).
  3. The successful candidate must submit other documentation deemed relevant.
