Fisheries Assessment Technician
Program/Dept: Fisheries Harvest and Assessment

Type of Employment: Full-time Permanent
Wage: ($22.66 – $28.18)
Hours of Work: 30 hrs/week
Closing Date: Friday, June 27, 2025, 4:00 pm EST
Work within a team setting, in the field, (stationary and/or mobile Assessment facilities) collecting harvest, effort and biological data and samples from the Saugeen Ojibway commercial harvest as well as responsibilities in the Chippewas of Nawash Calcified Growth Structure Analysis Facility.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Current knowledge of the Chippewas of Nawash Fisheries and of fishing techniques. Strong knowledge of biological and ecological assessment and familiarity with fisheries assessment
