Position:              Housing Clerk

Term:                   Permanent Full-Time

Department:       Housing

Division:               Lands and Estates/Housing

Salary:                 $20.00 per hour

Hours:                  35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m., must be flexible to work some evening and weekends based on program requirements

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Housing Clerk supports the administration functions of the Housing Department by performing tasks in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and Manager directives.

Responsibilities include general office duties, reception, data entry, filing, drafting and issuing correspondence, scheduling appointments, attending housing inspections, and providing financial statements/data as requested.

Experience and Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  1. Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. A college diploma or certificate in Administrative Office Assistant is considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in an office environment.
  2. Knowledge of processes, codes, and regulations related to housing loans and housing codes is an asset.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
