Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).


Under
the general direction of the Dean of Students, the Manager, Off-Campus Housing, is responsible for providing leadership, regular consultation, supervision, and direction to the Off-Campus Housing portfolio.

The incumbent supports the day-to-day operations of the off-campus housing listing site and collaborates with local city officials and media to raise awareness among students and residents about rental opportunities for Fanshawe students. This role ensures that students seeking off-campus accommodation receive the necessary assistance and that housing listings throughout the city of London are maintained.

To maintain respectful neighbourhood relationships, the Manager designs and delivers educational programs and materials. Additionally, the incumbent provides neutral third-party assistance to facilitate problem-solving processes and activities that lead to satisfactory resolutions of neighbourhood and citizen challenges and concerns.

Experience and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Public Administration, Social Services, Business or Communication
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in dealing with the Residential Tenancies Act, city officials, and understanding bylaws
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Experience supervising staff would be an asset
  • Conflict Mediation and Dispute Resolution
  • Client service skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate Excel, Word, charts, maps, and housing reports in a PC environment
  • System access to share confidential case management notes to Student Support Services Management Team
