Position: Outreach and Transition Navigator                                                 Term: Permanent Full-Time          Department: Oneida Family Healing Lodge                                           Salary: Competitive salary rangeHours: 40 hours per week, shift work, must be flexible to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays Posting Date: August 29, 2024                                                                                         Closing Date: September 11, 2024, at 4:30p.m. JOB SUMMARY:   The Outreach and Transition Navigator has a vital role in supporting individuals and families through their healing journey, using a strength-based, client-centered, and wholistic approach. This position focuses on providing comprehensive information and education about domestic violence while offering culturally respectful, individualized support to clients transitioning from the Oneida Family Healing Lodge. The Outreach and Transition Navigator ensures that both residential and non-residential clients receive tailored, culturally appropriate resources and services, with a focus on empowering clients and promoting their overall well-being.

Experience and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:Social Service Worker Diploma or completion of related diploma program.Minimum 1 year of experience in the social service sector, ideally in advocacy or shelter services.Understanding of family and/or domestic violence.Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Valid Class “G” Driver’s License and use of company vehicle is required.
