Park Maintenance Attendant

 Program/Dept:                       Cape Croker Park

Reports To:                            Senior Park Maintenance Attendant

Type of Employment:           Full-time permanent

Wage:                                     $20.35 – $25.30

Hours of Work:                      37.5 hours per week

Closing Date:  Friday, Oct 25, 2024 at 4:00 pm EST

Working as a member of the Cape Croker Park team, the Park Maintenance Attendant is responsible for the day maintenance of the park facilities, equipment and the delivery of related services while interacting with Park guests with excellent customer service skills.

Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Skilled with operating, maintaining and troubleshooting small equipment and tools such as, but not limited to gas-powered equipment (lawnmower, weed trimmer, wood splitter)
  • Experience with diesel maintenance tractors
  • Chainsaw Operator Licence, Propane Filling certification, CPR First Aid training or ability to obtain within three (3) months
  • Familiar with the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation community and area
  • Knowledge of First Nation culture and traditions
  • Valid G Driver’s Licence
  • Must meet HAAMB criteria thru the Targeted Wage Subsidy

Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered
