Position Summary: The 13 Moons Land-Based Learning Camp is seeking a dedicated and organized Project Manager/Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of programs and events, manage communications, staff and marketing efforts, develop curriculum guidelines, and coordinate with Indigenous communities and educators. This role is pivotal in enhancing the camp’s conductivity, outreach and ensuring a meaningful experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking and Scheduling: Coordinate dates and times for school visits and other group bookings. Manage the camp’s calendar and ensure efficient use of facilities and
- Communications and Marketing: Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the camp’s programs. Manage social media accounts, create promotional materials, and maintain the camp’s website.
- Team Management: Delegate responsibilities and schedules to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and Conduct regular meetings to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Event Planning: Organize and oversee camp events, including educational programs, community gatherings, and special activities. Ensure all events are well-planned and
- Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and other Conduct outreach activities to increase participation and support for the camp.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the camp’s budget, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and expenses are tracked accurately.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on program activities, attendance, and Present findings to 13 Moons Board of Directors and stakeholders.
- Support: Provide logistical and administrative support to ensure the camp’s operations run smoothly.
- Curriculum Development: Develop curriculum guidelines in collaboration with Indigenous communities, Knowledge Keepers and educators to ensure culturally appropriate and educational As a team develop food Sovereignty Initiatives e.g.. community gardens, orchards, farming etc. within the curriculum program.
- Program Monitoring: Monitor program outcomes and impacts, ensuring that objectives are met and continually seeking ways to improve the camp’s offerings.
