A3F was established as an Indigenous led Joint Venture in September 2022. Aamjiwnaang First Nation and Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, formed Anishinaabeg Utilities Construction Limited Partnership, and joined with Aecon Utilities Inc to form Aecon Three Fires The JV is proportioned 51% to AUC LP and 49% to Aecon Utilities Self performed project execution, within the traditional territories, by employing an Indigenous-led workforce in construction and functional support roles, with Aecon providing training and capacity development. Focused in these sectors: Oil and Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission Systems Electrical / Distribution and Transmission Hydro Systems Water and Sewer Systems Telecommunication Systems Municipal Infrastructure Programs
